Members who meet all course and professional experience requirements are awarded the ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative) and/or ABRMSM (Accredited Buyers Representative Manager) designation(s). Both are the only designations of their type recognized by the National Association of Realtors.
As a real estate buyer, you need to engage your own real estate professional to protect your best interests. Seek a real estate agent who will be your representative from start to finish in buying your “Dream Home.”
How do you identify that qualified agent?
Look for these two logos on the agent’s website or business card and/or correspondence.:
The Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council is the country’s oldest and largest association of real estate practitioners representing buyers in real estate transactions. The nation’s most skilled buyer’s agents hold the Council’s prestigious Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation and they are trained to service and protect the special needs of the buyer.
The ABR designation requires extensive classroom training, a formidable written examination, and documentation of substantial experience in buyer representation. Only a small percentage of Real Estate Agents attain this designation.
